Papyrlog — Notes & Logging

1. Introduction

Codaapps (“we,” “our,” or “us”) operates the Papyrlog mobile application (“the App”). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App handles, how it is used, and the choices you have regarding your information. We built Papyrlog to be private by design: your notes and logs stay on your device.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information Stored Locally (Never Leaves Your Device)

• Your Notes and Logs: The text, titles, timestamps, tags, and any other content you create in the App are stored entirely on your device using a local database. This content is never transmitted to our servers or any third party.
• App Preferences: Your settings, such as appearance and organization preferences, are stored locally on your device.

2.2 Information We Do NOT Collect

Papyrlog does not collect, transmit, or store any of your information on external servers. Specifically, we do not collect:

• Your name, email address, or contact information
• The contents of your notes or logs
• Your precise or approximate location
• Any device identifiers, advertising identifiers, or tracking data
• Usage analytics or crash reports collected by us
• Contacts, messages, or other personal data on your device

The App does not require an account, and you do not need to sign in to use it.

3. How Information Is Used

All information you enter into Papyrlog is used solely to provide the App's core functionality on your device — namely, to let you create, view, edit, organize, and delete your notes and logs. Because this information never leaves your device, it is not used for any other purpose.

4. Third-Party Services

Papyrlog does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The App is distributed through the Apple App Store, which may collect certain information in connection with app downloads and device functionality in accordance with Apple's Privacy Policy. We do not control and are not responsible for Apple's data practices.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, rent, or otherwise share your personal information, because we do not collect or have access to it. Your notes and logs remain on your device under your control.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

Because all of your data is stored locally, it is retained on your device until you choose to delete it. You can delete individual notes or logs within the App at any time. Deleting the App from your device permanently removes all data associated with it. We do not retain any copies of your data.

7. Data Security

Your notes and logs are stored locally on your device and are protected by your device's built-in security features, such as your device passcode and operating-system-level data protection. Because your data is never transmitted over the internet, it is not exposed to risks associated with network transmission or server storage. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device.

8. Backups

If you have enabled device or iCloud backups through your operating system, your App data may be included in those backups. Such backups are managed entirely by Apple and your device settings and are subject to Apple's Privacy Policy. We do not have access to these backups.

9. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Since the App does not collect or transmit any data, no personal information about children is gathered through the App.

10. Your Rights

Because we do not collect or store any of your personal information, most data-protection rights (such as access, correction, and deletion) are satisfied automatically: you have full and direct control over all of your data within the App and on your device. You may delete any or all of your data at any time, as described in Section 6.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by updating the “Effective Date” at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
